Snow hauling and snow-bank relocation

When snow storage becomes limited, moving an existing bank is a separate task from routine plowing. Cottage Contracting reviews snow-bank relocation and hauling inquiries within our available winter service area. The site, volume, equipment access and destination determine whether a request can be scheduled.

Identify what needs to move

Send photos showing the bank and surrounding space, approximate dimensions and the reason it needs relocation. Explain whether it affects parking, an entrance, delivery access or another use. Include enough of the site in the photographs to show how equipment could approach.

Distinguish on-site movement from hauling

Moving snow elsewhere on the property and loading it for transport require different arrangements. For on-site work, identify a suitable proposed storage area. For hauling, the receiving location and permission to use it must be confirmed before transport is agreed.

Confirm equipment, access and quote scope

Capacity is reviewed for the actual request; a general inquiry is not a promise of a particular truck or machine. The quote should identify loading, movement or transport, destination, access requirements and any agreed cleanup. Timing depends on conditions, route demands and equipment availability.

Coordinate with ongoing winter service

If the property already has a plowing plan, explain how relocation fits with that work. Commercial sites can include storage planning in a seasonal review. Send your location, photos, access information and desired timing through the winter-service inquiry for an assessment and scoped quote.
