Landscape and exterior lighting

Exterior lighting should support how you use the property after dark. Cottage Contracting reviews lighting needs within landscape and exterior project planning, including paths, entrances and outdoor living areas. The design, product selection and installation responsibilities are defined for the actual scope.

Identify the areas and purpose

Show the routes people use, changes in level and the places where you want light for access or atmosphere. Tell us about existing fixtures, controls and nearby buildings. A marked plan or photographs help establish priorities before products and locations are selected.

Coordinate lighting with landscape work

Patios, steps, walls and planting can affect where fixtures and routes for services make sense. Discuss lighting early enough to coordinate it with excavation and finished surfaces. The landscape quote should make clear which preparation or coordination tasks are included.

Define product and electrical responsibilities

Confirm who designs the system, supplies the fixtures and performs any electrical work. Specialist involvement and applicable requirements must be addressed before installation. This service description does not imply that Cottage Contracting holds electrical credentials or performs unrestricted electrical work.

Request a project review

Send your location, photos, existing lighting information, goals and timing through the general inquiry for a focused request. For a broader landscape project with an anticipated investment of $10,000 or more, include lighting in the design and build form. We will review scope, responsibilities and project fit before quoting.
