Fence installation and project planning
A fence plan begins with its purpose: defining an outdoor area, adding privacy or creating a practical boundary within the property. Cottage Contracting reviews fence-installation inquiries in our serviced communities. Share the proposed route and preferred style so we can confirm the fence type and installation scope available.
Map the route and gates
Provide approximate lengths, changes in direction and the location and width of gates. Show slopes, existing structures, trees and surfaces along the route. Think about everyday access for people, lawn equipment and deliveries before choosing the layout.
Confirm property information
Identify boundary information and any applicable restrictions or approval requirements before work begins. A proposed fence line should not be based on a guess about a property boundary. Buried services and private utilities also need to be addressed before post holes or other ground disturbance.
Compare materials and preparation
Tell us which fence material and appearance you prefer, whether an old fence needs removal and what condition the work area is in. The quote should specify the approved material, posts, gates, hardware, removal and cleanup. We confirm what can be installed for the actual site instead of advertising every fence system.
Request a fence review
Send the location, route photos, rough measurements and timing through the property-service inquiry. If fencing forms part of a larger landscape redesign, include it in that broader plan so access and installation can be coordinated with patios, grading and planting.
