Explain what the extra space is for
Tell us the rooms or functions you want to add and the problems the new space should solve. Describe how the addition should connect to existing living areas and outdoor access. Share your priorities rather than only an approximate floor area.
Show the existing building
Photographs, existing plans and relevant project history help explain the property. Include information about access, current use and any features you want to retain. A proposal must consider the actual building and site; it cannot be finalized from a general description alone.
Consider the related work
An addition may be discussed alongside a major renovation, entry changes or outdoor improvements. Make clear what you want included now, what belongs in a later phase and what is outside the project. Responsibilities for design, specialist work and required approvals must be established for the individual scope.
Plan around use of the property
